The Black and White Cat Press runs a quality digital stencil printer, a Risograph FR3910.

It can print on paper weights 50gsm to 270gsm in anything up to the size of A3. Colours we currently have are Black, Green, Red, Blue and Orange.

The print process is environmentally friendly using soya based inks rather than chemicals and paper is sourced from a recycled paper merchant. The press also has a heavy duty card guillotine available for use.

All the Comic, Zine & Book and Print & Poster work you can see on the website has been produced with this machine.

At the Press we can do all of our design, print and production onsite at our studio based at Cow Lane in Salford. This means we have total control over the production of finished pieces of work and can our apply experience and handcrafted aesthetics to all the work we produce.

The press will generally run at around 5p a sheet of A4. This will varying depending on weight of paper, number of colours and number of copies.
