During June 2008 Alma Park Primary School in Levenshulme commissioned the Black and White Cat Press' David Birchall and Zeke Clough for a project designing, drawing and constructing signs for the school gardens to coincide with School Grounds week.

This involved developing designs made by children at the school into fully realised and functioning pieces of work to fit into the outside environment of the school while maintaining the originality of the children's work.

 

The school has since won a national award for the quality of its school grounds.
